These are the profiles of the Circo princes: Morta, Nero, Welger and Drole, taken from the 2nd character databook. Translated by Suzu, commissioned by me. Archived here so I don't lose it ^q^




MORTA
Quotes: ”That’s why even now, I’m already dead.”
Description:
The first prince of Circo - Country of Adoration. Together with his younger brother Nero, he leads the circus troupe as well as performing trapeze and acrobatic which became the show’s main star.
For him, “death” is a gift to those who have done their best in life. This is a peculiar opinion regarding life and death, in which only he can relate to.
He’s generally skillful and sociable, although he also had a different side that makes him seemed cruel and merciless.

1. Death: He envisioned death as an equally distributed happiness for everyone (people). To Morta, living his life is merely just an act of courtesy in order to gain a peaceful death and nothing more.
2. Younger Brothers: He has 3 younger brothers that he really cared about deeply. Because of it, he always treat everything he received from them as his precious treasures and always kept it in a special place.

Features
1. Mask: The mask he put on himself is normally used to hide his true intention, The motif is modeled after a crow, a species that’s often deeply related to “death”.
2. Skull: The skull motif is used as a decoration for his staff, particularly because it also represent symbolistic meaning toward “death”.
3. Siblings: Because he cared deeply about his younger brothers, he carried masks (who were modeled after them) on his waist.

1. Clown: “To tell you the truth, he and I has been quite an acquaintances. He had come to my circus so many times you see. When i teach him a few tricks, he was able to quickly master it and made it as his own (tricks). I think he’s a very skillful person.”
2. Nero: ”Big brother is… neither an adult or a child. Because we siblings are around, everyone in Circo still exist here… for us, big brother is an important existence.”

”The design we’re aiming for him was to symbolize the concept of “Death” and taking the atmosphere of character that would appear as a demon king. By wearing the siblings-motif masks, it shows that although he may appeared as irregular, he also holds an image of “The Gentle” big brother who fondly thinks of his younger brothers, which is also something we love from him.” (Scenario: K)





NERO
Quotes: “This is Circo…… A country where disgusting and shameful adults cease to exist.”
Description:
The second prince of Circo - Country of Adoration. He serves as the circus troupe leader, as well performing as a pierrot who entertained the spectators. Along with the children, he does countless performance in each neighboring country, which also made him held a deep bonds between them all. Because of a certain incident that led him to detest adults, he wanted to created a world where only children exist.

1. Leader: The one who lead Circo circus isn’t exactly Morta but more on Nero instead. The two would discuss things together during decision making. Everyone in circo has always supported Nero generally, while Morta is the one giving him moral support.
2. Adults and Children: To Nero, the periodic between adult or children are divided based on their own emotional state. Morta’s existence is an example of that.

Features
1. Emblem: A Circo circus emblem worn by every members of the troupe. After throwing their past country emblem, they remade it with an original design.
2. Medicine: The thing he held around his waist is a medicine that made him able to turn into a child. With his consciousness still intact, he’s able to freely walk around in this state.
3. Puppet: The marionette puppet is something he received when he was a child back in Carnabara. However, he didn’t have a recollection about this particular memory.

1. Welger: ”A cool big bro! I also wanted to be like him in the future. I didn’t lie about this you know! ...but whenever he heard I was in charge of cooking, he always had this scary look on him...”
2. Morta: ”He’s a very strong person. On the other hand, he’s also quite fragile… that’s why, I will be Nero’s ally even if the whole world turned against him...”

Staff comment:
”He’s quite a complex prince. Whether it’s between adults or children, light or darkness, changes or stillness. Nero is a character that stands in the middle of these two things and wouldn’t be deemed weird to be related by either side. Please kindly lead this doubtful prince, as we believed that Nero’s happiness will definitely able to be shaped by you(princesses) as well.” (Producer: M)





WELGER
Quotes: ”I’ll ask you one more time. Swore by (his) name, you didn’t lie right?”
Description:
The third prince of Circo - Country of Adoration. He’s the one who lead the beasts show in Circo circus. Welger wanted to be able to protect someone just like his older brothers, which makes him often boasts about himself so much that it sometimes turned into a lie. However, he disliked it when other people lied to him.

1. Lies: Even though this may seemed unjustified because of Welger’s habit, he disliked being lied into. A certain past event that caused the disappearances of every adults in Circo may have a connection that leads him into having this complex
2. Beasts: The beasts helped him to make the circus show more exciting. The bear-like beast especially is the closest one to him, as they often being seen together even during normal activities.

Features
1. Lies: When he was served a food he disliked, he always lie by saying “Since it’s very delicious I’ll give it to you” to the people he gave his food to.
2. Sleep posture: He had a really bad sleeping posture so much that he often falls off the bed every time he woke up. Because of that, there’s also several children that disliked it when they had to sleep with him.
3. Training: Thinking that he wanted to be as strong as his older brothers, He always do a daily training session. Because of that, there’s a visible scars all over his hands.

1. Drole: ”The first time i tried to injured myself, his face turns red and got really mad at me. Welger-nii is such a straightforward person after all.”
2. Nero: ”Very bright, and very pure that it would amazed you… for someone like that to have a scars so visible, I’ll never forgive those adults who has been telling lies (to him).”

Staff comment:
”Because he wanted to make himself looked bigger that he even started telling lies, I like someone with a setting like that because it also makes him so cute. We ended up putting so much bear-like motif for his design too! Even though he may seemed bad based on his eye expression and the way he talked, we would be very happy if everyone also liked Welger as much as he liked his dearest siblings.” (Graphics designer: A.K)





DROLE
Quotes: “...Looking at your worried face like that, it gives me chills”
Description:
The fourth prince of Circo - Country of Adoration. He performed tightrope walking in Circo circus solely for the reason of finding out how painful it’ll be if he’d ever fall off. Though often brings trouble because of his personality, he had an unexpected side of being able to handle and lead the children in the troupes.

1. Pain: He carries a strong obsession for pain, although he only meant it in a physical way. However, he also holds interest with emotional “pain” though he didn’t seemed to care much about it either.
2. Family: Generally easy-going and holds no interest toward anything but pain. However, he really cared about his family and holds them dear.

Features
1. Clothes: For his fashion, he likes wearing corset and tight boots that could enhance the pain he felt.
2. Tattoo: The stitch-like pattern on his bodies are all tattoos. Which isn’t only located on his left hand and neck, but also on right thighs and right hand’s finger
3. Seal: The scissors dangling on his waist is sealed with a ribbon by Morta in order to prevent him from doing self-harm

1. Morta: ”Drole may have a unique side that separate him with others… however he’s still one of my precious little brother. Even though he’s like that, he’s always serious when it comes to practice for the sake of our circus, you see.”
2. Welger: ”That guy, he’ll always go “please bite me more” whenever he’s free… strange at how he could be so good with kids (with a personality like that).”

Staff comment:
”We came up with his design with “pain” as the keyword. The pain inflicted to his body gave him a stimulation that differs from normal people and regarded it as “good feel”. A pain sommelier(!?) however, he regarded pain that were inflicted to other people especially hard-to-mend emotional pain as “not a good feel”.” (Scenario: K)
